Aviation VIP: Helicopters and Private Flights

Koh Samui has a small but operational airport capable of receiving private jets. A Bangkok–Koh Samui flight on a private plane takes approximately one hour versus 1.5 hours on a commercial service — but the chief advantage is not speed, it is privacy: your own aircraft, your own customs pass, your own lounge.

Helicopters on Koh Samui are used in two ways:

  • Scenic flights — 20–45 minutes over the archipelago. An aerial view of Ko Tao, Ang Thong and Ko Pha-ngan is one of the island's most striking experiences.

Beach clubs on Koh Samui combine a pool, bar and DJ, with VIP daybeds and cabanas available to rent. A full-day VIP cabana typically includes a minimum spend on drinks and food. The main club areas are concentrated in Chaweng and Lamai.

Some luxury resorts maintain private beach sections closed to external visitors. Hotel or villa guests receive sun-loungers, umbrellas, a dedicated waiter and the ability to order lunch directly on the sand.

Luxury Transfers

Airport-to-villa or airport-to-hotel transfers in the luxury segment mean a Mercedes V-Class or Alphard minivan, a uniformed driver, chilled water and onboard Wi-Fi. Some companies offer customs escort directly at the private jet steps.

For longer-term vehicle hire on the island, BMW 5-Series, Range Rover and Mercedes GLS are available with or without a driver, from approximately 5,000 THB per day with chauffeur.
