One-Day Dives at the Shark Island Dive Site (from a Dive Boat, Departure from Koh Samui) Diving

Description

We invite you on an exciting one-day trip to one of the best dive sites of the Gulf of Thailand! On the way to the dive site you will learn about the peculiarities of the local dive sites and the flora and fauna of the South China Sea's Gulf of Thailand. During the trip you can also widen your circle of acquaintances, meeting divers from around the world. Meanwhile, a Russian-speaking guide will always be nearby to answer all your questions and make your trip unforgettable. This offer is intended for already certified, experienced divers.

SHARK ISLAND. Shark Island lies south-east of Ao Leuk. It is a large rock rising about 30 m above the water. The dive site we will visit is a steep sloping reef with an average depth of 15 m and a maximum of 28 m. Underwater, all the nearby rocks are overgrown with tube corals and other coral species. Life at this site is exceptionally diverse; numerous fish species and other marine inhabitants are found here. You can see blue angelfish, bicolour moon wrasse, large parrotfish, arrowfish, azure-blue stingrays, green sea turtles and, of course, reef sharks themselves. This site is interesting for both novice and experienced divers. During the full moon, currents convenient for drift diving are common here (gliding underwater with the current helps save air and stay down longer, and it is also convenient because a diver moving in one direction without turning back can see more).

Our Russian-speaking guide-instructor will stay by your side throughout the programme, monitoring your well-being and the operation of the diving equipment.

Approximate trip schedule:
07:00 - 07:15 Minibus transfer from your hotel to the pier.
08:00 Departure on a fully equipped boat. Light breakfast on the way.
10:30 Arrival at the site. First dive.
12:00 Freshly prepared lunch on board.
13:00 Second dive
14:30 - 15:00 Departure.
17:00 Arrival at Koh Samui. Transfer back to your hotel.

The price includes:
- Hotel transfer both ways;
- Weights, cylinders, a complete set of gear;
- Two dives of 40-60 minutes each;
- Lunch and soft drinks on board;
- The services of a personal Russian-speaking guide.

You can also order underwater photo or video shooting of your dives.

Additional diving gear, including a Yoke/Din adapter, as well as nitrox — you can rent from us.
