Dive Master NDL Course Diving

Dive Master NDL meets the EN 14153-3/ISO 24801-3 "Dive Leader" standard and is the first professional level of NDL.

Description

NDL is the first and only Russian training system certified by the EUF (European Underwater Federation) to the international EN and ISO standards. At our school (or rather, our partners' school) classes are held for all training programmes of this system.

NDL Divemaster is the first professional status in the NDL hierarchy. Holders of the NDL Diveleader certificate aged 18 or over are accepted onto the course.

Equivalent certificates issued by other training organisations may also be accepted, provided the candidate meets all NDL requirements corresponding to the NDL Diveleader qualification. In practice this means:
- the student has the entry-level skills of any training organisation and is able to perform the skills of an NDL diver.
- the student has rescue skills and a certificate issued by any training organisation and is able to perform the skills of an NDL Rescue Diver.
- the student has completed the first two training levels and has at least nine logged open-water dives, including night, deep dives and underwater navigation experience.
- the student holds the NDL Professional Buoyancy Diver certification.
- the student has successfully completed a first-aid and CPR course of the First Aid Association within the last 24 months, or provides an equivalent certificate from another training organisation.
- the student has provided a medical clearance for scuba diving (where required by the laws of the country).
- the student has at least 40 logged dives by the start of the course.

The NDL Divemaster course consists of theoretical and practical parts.
The theoretical part contains:
- detailed information on diving theory (physics, physiology, decompression theory, dive tables, equipment and general oceanology) and the rules of organising dives;
- the methodology of working with a diving-centre client, and information on the fundamentals of running a dive business.
The practical part contains a set of exercises in the water giving the skills to work independently:
- as an instructor's assistant;
- running introductory dives for beginners (introduction dive);
- as a dive guide.

The information contained in the course is not divided into modules. The instructor forms the sessions at their own discretion, preserving the total volume of information set by the course.

The NDL DIVEMASTER qualification allows you to:
- run introductory dives for beginners — TEST-DIVE,
- work as a dive guide (underwater tour leader) for certified divers,
- assist the instructor in the process of training students,
- advance to the instructor training course — ITC.
