Corporate Event and Get-Together with Friends aboard the NAGA Yacht vehicle

21 July 2012 was not just "another day on Koh Samui" — it was the "corporate party". Everyone connected with the Samuidays company, our friends and partners, was invited. We were to spend a whole day aboard the beautiful yacht NAGA, combining useful business discussions with a pleasant sea cruise in the Ang Thong Marine Park.

Of course, everyone was hungry in the morning! So the first thing we did was rush to the coffee and pastries kindly prepared by the crew. Having snacked and listened to the safety briefing on behaviour on the water, as well as a short talk about the sights of Samui (someone nearly spilt their coffee when the accompanying manager started telling everyone about the island's attractions and the Fisherman's Village walking-street schedule), we set about exploring the yacht's merits. And she has plenty to boast about! The NAGA is: 30 metres of length, 7 metres of beam, displacement 103 t, speed 10 knots, a fully equipped galley, 8 double cabins with air conditioning — 40 people can be accommodated on the yacht at the same time.

Meanwhile the NAGA set off on her way, towards the Ang Thong Marine Park. By the way, you can easily repeat our route — by booking the same excursion on the NAGA yacht. Or you can sail right around Koh Samui, visiting the beautiful "Five Islands" on the way. Or you can draw up an individual route that takes all your wishes into account — and in that case the whole yacht will belong to you alone: for a full day, or partly — from 4 hours.

Closer to midday we stopped at one of the islands of the Marine Park, for swimming straight off the side of our beauty. Some went down into the water by the ladder, while the bravest used the springboard for the purpose. After the swim, the yacht headed towards the island where the famous Emerald Lake is located. Meanwhile we had lunch: everything was tasty, and there was plenty of food. Alas, that is exactly what prevented many of us from finding the strength to climb the staircase that opens wonderful views of the lake and the Gulf of Thailand. Well, those who fancied a walk after lunch took a seat in the boat and set off for the island: some not only climbed up but also went down to the lake itself. Afterwards they sunbathed on the beach and swam with the children. All the excursion tours whose programme is listed as "Ang Thong Marine Park" come to this place — the emerald lake. Apart from a trip on the NAGA yacht, this outing can also be made on ordinary boats.

After visiting the lake, the yacht set course for Samui. All the business matters had long been discussed, so most of us dozed lazily under the canopy, played with the children, read or admired the beauty around. At about five in the evening we made a short stop in the area of the Four Seasons hotel — the north-west coast of Samui. A wedding ceremony was underway on the hotel's beach, a couple of hundred metres from us, while we swam in the cleanest water, perfectly warmed through the day. This spot was unanimously recognised as the cleanest and most pleasant of all the places we visited that day. And apparently everyone felt so good that nobody reached for a camera — no photographs of that place were to be found.
