Since this is Thailand and not, say, Cuba, an official wedding certificate — the basis for legalising a Thai marriage in your home country — must be obtained independently.
To do so, you need to visit the local district office (Amphoe), pay the fee, register the marriage, then have the certificate translated from Thai into English and have the translation certified (legalised) at your country's consulate in Bangkok.
Based on this translation you will be issued another document, which you then take to the registry office in your home country, where you receive a standard marriage registration document recognised by official institutions, along with a stamp in your national passport.
To register your marriage at the district office in Thailand you may also need documents (naturally in Thai, duly translated and certified) confirming that at the time of registration neither of you is already married.
As you can see, the procedure is rather tedious.
